I might have to start doing my devotions on here instead of my website. I am having a hard time being able to do them. I am going to start to see if some people in my church would love to come here. May the Lord Jesus be praised and glorified. May the people who need him most come here and get the help they need. In Jesus name.

Consequence of Not Believing Luke 1:11-20; 63-64 [glow=red,2,300]11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13 But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 "And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15 "For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. 16 "And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 "He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, 'to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,' and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." 18 And Zacharias said to the angel, "How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years." 19 And the angel answered and said to him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings. 20 "But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time." [/glow]
Zacharius did not believe Gabriel when Gabriel said he will have a son. Zacharius as a priest should have known where the message came from. As a priest he also knew every story about God. However, Zacharius chose to doubt God. He did not believe that God would do or could do what God said. Zacharius said "How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years." Surely, being a priest, Zacharius knew the story of Abraham and Sarah. Abraham and his wife Sarah were to old to have children but the Lord gave them Isaac. Because Zacharius chose not to believe in God, the Lord made him mute until his son was born and until his name was John. (Luke1:63-54). [glow=red,2,300]63 And he asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, saying, "His name is John." So they all marveled. 64 Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, praising God. [/glow] Let us choose to believe in God. For not believing in God will give us consequences we will not enjoy. Also, let us choose to believe in Jesus. For believing in Jesus will give us eternal life. (John 3:16) [glow=red,2,300]16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.[/glow] It is believing in Jesus Christ that will give us the Gift of God through Jesus Christ. Not believing will cause us to have death. (Romans 3:23) [glow=red,2,300]23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God[/glow] (Romans 6:23) [glow=red,2,300]23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.[/glow] So Let us choose to believe in the Lord.
