What is pain? Why do we have pain? Would it be a blessing or a curse if we didn't have pain? Is pain really needed? Most importantly where is God when it hurts? I will summerize a book by Philip Yancey that I have done on here before. However, the messages were deleted so I will do this again. Philip Yancey wrote a book. Where is God When it Hurts. He answers all these questions and more. He answers them as biblically as possible. Check back soon. If you have any info yourself that will add than feel free.

Things most people say to people in pain with good intensions yet they hurt people more than they help.
Surely something in your life must displease God. Somewhere, you must have stepped out of His will. These things don't just happen. God uses circumstances to warn us, and to punish us. What is he telling you?
Haven't you read in the Bible? The Devil stalks us like a roaring lion, but God will deliver you if you can muster up enough faith to believe you'll be healed. Remember, faith can move mountains. Simply name your promise, in faith, and then claim the victory.
You need to come to the place where you can say, "God, I love you for making me suffer like this. It is your will, and you know what's best for me. And I praise you for loving me enough to allow me to experience this. In all things, including this, I give thanks."
God will not give you more than you can bear.
You have been appointed to suffer for Christ, and he will reward you. God chose you because of your great strength and integrity, just as he chose Job, and he is using you as an example to others. Their faith may increase because of your response. You should feel privileged, not bitter. What we see as adversity, God sees as opportunity.
This is some examples how we as christian can take some facts and give them at the wrong time and wrong place. Alot of these statements if given can cause people to be confussed and sometimes give up on God and learn to hate God. We must be carefull what we say. Remember Jobs friends. Alot of these words Jobs friends had told him and the Lord punished those friends because they were wrong. The way I think if friends are like that than who needs enemies.

God never answered Job when Job answered why. The Lord told Job in a long answer that God is God and we should just trust him. No matter what state we are in do we trust God? Or when things get tough do we leave God? Most the time if we just trust in God things will be better. Does that mean the pain will go away. No it just means that it will be better. God will give us the strength to endure. God promised us to be there with us all the time. Does that mean every pain will be gone. No and think about it. If you go through pain alone it is worse than if someone is there with you. Also we do not have a God who just sympathizes with us but can truely show empathy. Meaning God as Jesus has been there and done that. He went through so much pain that we ourselves has probably has never gone through. So Jesus our Lord does understand our pain. So him being there with us will be helpful.
